Sisterhood Circles: Awakening the Goddess Within

*Located in Westland, MI at the Shaolin Temple.

Join us in sisterhood as we come together the first Sunday of every month to embody the Goddess within! With the understanding that there are many inflections of the one Goddess - we will choose a different goddess archetype every month to work with through reading mythology, journaling, prayer/mantras, plant medicine, movement, breathwork and meditations. Whether it's from the Greek, Roman, Hindu, Norse, Celtic or other Divine Feminine oriented cultures.

Expect to leave feeling a release in physical and emotional tension, enhanced mental clarity, harmonized body/mind connection, spiritual insights, support from a community of like-minded women, and the transformation that happens when you're guided to surrender into your divine nature.

For the month of October we will be working with the Hindu Goddess, Kali Ma.

⁃ Opening circle: meditation, guidelines, theme, introductions, invocation of the Elements, Spirit Guides/Ancestors and the Goddess.

⁃ We'll become acquainted with her through learning about the mythology and stories surrounding her, her archetype and ways she can uniquely reveal herself in our personal lives.

⁃ We'll partake in a cacao ceremony with Divine Feminine oracle card pulls and journaling on carefully crafted self-reflective questions to activate newfound inner-standings and the goddess codes within. Followed by a group share.

⁃ Delving further inward with Yoga Nidra, crystal bowls and a guided meditative journey to meet with the Goddess herself.

⁃ Opportunities to unwind the body, release tension and integrate activations through gentle guidance of yoga/tai-chi flows and eventually free-form intuitive (judgment free) dance - with music!

⁃ Closing circle - share experiences, closing prayer and healing exercises for Mother Earth and those in need.

- Vegetarian potluck

Who:

- All souls who identify as female are welcome to attend and in any stage of their feminine journey (maiden, mother, or crone).

What to bring:

Community Satsang: Being in the Discovery of Truth

Satsang is a Sanskrit word that means “being in the discovery of truth”. It’s a gathering of spiritual discourse to bring us into remembrance of our true nature. Every month we will have a different topic to contemplate and discuss. We'll begin and end our session with a short meditation. After Satsang, you are welcome to partake in a vegetarian potluck for a more informal social connection!

While in Satsang, you can expect to experience a rewiring of neurological pathways, spiritual insights, intuitive understandings and opportunities to connect with like-minded souls.

For the next 5 months we will be discussing Patanjali's yamas (ethical principles for living a life free from suffering). Patanjali was a great sage who wrote these yamas in a sacred text called the Yoga Sutras, over 2,000 years ago. It is one of the main philosophical writings for those who practice living a yogic lifestyle.

This month we will be discussing the first yama - Satya.

Satya (truthfulness) is the practice of staying to true oneself and others.

Please bring a quote, poem, or affirmation that represents satya and that calls to you. Or you may share a personal experience where satya was practiced or could have been practiced in your life.

These satsangs are free or are at a "give what you'd like basis". All donations help the facilitator to continue to have the space and ability to offer these free services to others.

Please bring a vegetarian dish to pass!
